1. About This Notice
Rock Region Create is a community service operated by TrustStone LLC ("TrustStone," "we," "us," or "our") and available at rockregion.truststone.io, including Rocky and My TrustStone (together, the "Service").
This Privacy Notice explains what information the Service collects, how it is used, when it is shared, and the choices you have. It replaces the earlier Pilot Privacy Notice as of the effective date above.
This Notice is a separate document from the Rock Region Create Terms of Use. When you create a My TrustStone profile, you agree to the Terms and acknowledge this Notice as two separate actions, and we record them separately.
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to info@truststone.io.
2. The Short Version
You can browse Rock Region Create and talk with Rocky without creating an account, and nothing is added to a personal profile unless you choose to save it.
My TrustStone is your private place to keep what you choose to carry forward. You decide what gets saved.
Private means not publicly listed, not publicly searchable, and not part of any public people directory. It does not mean invisible to the team that runs the Service.
Community-level understanding uses information that does not identify you. Your identifiable profile is never presented as part of a public community map.
Before information that identifies you is shared with a person or organization in the community, introduced, made publicly visible, or published as your story, you make a separate recorded decision. The service providers that help us run the Service, and disclosures required by law, are described in Section 8.
TrustStone does not sell Rock Region Create participant personal information.
Persistent My TrustStone profiles are for adults 18 and older.
3. Using the Service Without an Account
You can browse the public site, select pathways, talk with Rocky, explore ideas, describe interests or needs, and browse public resources without creating a My TrustStone profile.
Starting a conversation with Rocky does not itself create a persistent participant profile. Unsaved conversation content is not added to your persistent My TrustStone profile. The Service may process limited session, security, and operational information needed to run, protect, and troubleshoot the Service.
4. My TrustStone and What "Private" Means
My TrustStone is your private place to keep what you choose to carry forward. You decide what gets saved, and you can review what you have saved.
Private means your profile is not publicly listed, is not publicly searchable, and is not part of any public people directory.
Private does not mean invisible to TrustStone or to authorized Rock Region Create personnel. Authorized personnel may access saved information where needed to operate the Service, support participants, maintain records, review requests, route needs, identify possible opportunities, administer the platform, and protect safety and integrity.
5. Information We Collect
Account and identity information. Name, email address, optional phone number, authentication and account information, and account or claim status.
Information you choose to save. When you voluntarily save information to your profile, it may include ideas, needs, interests, goals, capabilities, experience, contribution offers, mentor interest, business or organizational context, feedback, and the corrections and confirmations you make.
Participation and workflow information. The pathway you used, your saved requests, the review state of a request, consent and permission records, and connection or introduction decisions.
Technical information. IP address and network information where processed, device and browser information, timestamps, logs, session and security information, and the pages and paths you visit.
Please do not submit highly sensitive information, such as government identification numbers, full financial account numbers, or medical records. The Service does not ask for that information and is not designed to store it.
6. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide Rock Region Create and maintain My TrustStone;
- remember what you choose to save and carry it forward for you;
- respond to your requests;
- enable human review of requests and contribution offers;
- surface resources that may be useful to you;
- identify possibly relevant opportunities internally, as described in Section 7;
- operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service;
- improve the Service;
- understand community-level patterns, as described in Section 7;
- comply with law; and
- prevent misuse and protect participants and the Service.
7. Three Ways Saved Information Is Used
Your private record. Saved information that identifies you stays associated with your profile and is available only to you and to the authorized people and systems needed to operate the Service, as described in Section 4.
Community-level understanding. TrustStone and Rock Region Create may use appropriately de-identified or aggregated information to understand patterns across the community, such as learning needs, community capabilities, business and organizational needs, ideas, contributor capacity, demand for support, ecosystem gaps, participation, and outcomes. Information that could still reasonably be linked back to you is treated as personal information, not as de-identified information. Individual participant profiles do not appear publicly in these analyses.
Internal opportunity identification. TrustStone may use your saved information internally to identify resources, programs, events, organizations, potential human connections, and other opportunities that may be relevant to you. Internal identification is not external disclosure. Identifying a possible opportunity does not by itself share you or your information with any outside person or organization.
8. When Information That Identifies You Is Shared
Your separate decision. Agreeing to the Terms of Use or acknowledging this Notice does not give TrustStone blanket permission to share information that identifies you. Before we share your identifiable information with a named person, share it with a named organization, make an introduction, share your contact information, make information from your profile publicly visible, or publish your name or story, you make a separate recorded decision. If you decline, you keep your ordinary access to Rock Region Create.
Service providers. We share information with the technology and service providers described in Section 15 so they can run parts of the Service for us.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law or legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of participants, the public, or the Service.
Business continuity. If TrustStone is involved in a reorganization, financing, merger, or transfer of the Service, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Notice and to any notice obligations under applicable law.
9. No Sale, No Third-Party Behavioral Advertising
TrustStone does not sell Rock Region Create participant personal information.
TrustStone does not use Rock Region Create participant information for third-party cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. Human Review
Authorized Rock Region Create and TrustStone personnel may review certain participant requests and offers before the Service acts on them. Examples include requests for business or organizational help, contribution and mentor interest, potential person-based connections, feedback, and other items that require human action.
Human review takes the time it takes. This Notice does not promise response times.
11. How We Communicate With You
Service communications. If you save a request and provide contact information, we may use that contact information to respond to or follow up about that specific request. We may also contact you about your account, your saved information, and important notices about the Service. These are service communications, not marketing.
Marketing is separate. Saving a request for help is not consent to marketing. Agreeing to the Terms is not consent to marketing. Newsletters, general promotions, and other optional communications require an appropriate separate permission, which you can decline or withdraw without losing access to the Service.
Regulated channels are separate. Channels that require their own permission under applicable law, such as SMS, are not authorized merely by accepting the Terms or acknowledging this Notice. Where such a channel is offered, we will ask for the required permission separately.
12. Age
Persistent My TrustStone profiles are for people 18 and older. Saving persistent ideas, needs, capabilities, contribution offers, or relationships requires the adult-confirmation step in the Service.
Visitors under 18 may use the permitted public, nonpersistent parts of the Service. The Service does not offer youth profiles and does not have a parental-consent account system. If we learn that a persistent profile belongs to someone under 18, we will close or remove it.
13. Your Ideas and Content
You own the ideas and content you submit. TrustStone processes saved content only under the operational permissions needed to provide and improve the Service, as described in this Notice and the Terms of Use.
Saving an idea does not make it public, and it does not create confidentiality or intellectual-property protection for the idea. Publishing your name, story, or testimonial requires your separate permission, as described in Section 8.
14. Third-Party Resources and People
Rock Region Create may surface organizations, events, programs, resources, mentors, experts, providers, and other possible connections. TrustStone does not guarantee their availability, eligibility, suitability, qualifications, licensing, or outcomes.
If you leave the Service and interact with a third party, that third party's own privacy practices apply to what you share with them.
15. Service Providers
TrustStone uses technology and service providers to host infrastructure, provide authentication, operate communications, secure and maintain the Service, analyze technical performance, and provide AI and model infrastructure where applicable.
These providers process information for us under appropriate protections, and TrustStone remains responsible for describing its own uses of your information in this Notice.
16. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain your active My TrustStone profile, provide the services you request, preserve consent and authorization evidence, maintain security and audit records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain appropriately de-identified community analysis.
If you ask us to delete your profile, we will delete or de-identify identifiable information where reasonably possible. Records required for legal or security reasons may remain where necessary, immutable consent and acceptance evidence may be retained, and genuinely de-identified or aggregate information may remain in community analysis.
17. Your Choices
You can:
- review the information saved in your My TrustStone profile;
- correct information, using the tools in the Service where available;
- withdraw optional communication permissions;
- decline any identifiable disclosure, as described in Section 8;
- request deletion of your profile; and
- contact us with privacy questions or requests at info@truststone.io.
Some requests are currently handled by our team by email rather than through self-service controls. Write to info@truststone.io and we will help.
18. Security
TrustStone uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the Service. No service can guarantee perfect security, and we do not promise that information can never be compromised. We work to protect saved information through access controls and other reasonable measures.
19. Where Information Is Processed
TrustStone and its service providers may process information in the United States and in other locations where they operate. Where applicable law requires protections for international transfers, we use appropriate safeguards.
20. Changes to This Notice
TrustStone may update this Notice. The published Notice states its version and effective date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice and, where required by the design of the Service or by law, ask you to acknowledge the updated Notice through a new recorded action rather than relying on continued use alone. Public browsing remains available while an acknowledgment is pending.
21. This Notice and the Terms of Use
The Rock Region Create Terms of Use govern your use of the Service as a contract you agree to. This Notice describes our information practices and is acknowledged separately. It is not incorporated into the Terms as a set of contractual promises, and your statutory privacy rights are unaffected by the Terms.
